Florencia Malbrán is a curator and scholar, as well as a faculty member at New York University in Buenos Aires and Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina. Her book, titled La prueba del presente: ensayos sobre arte contemporáneo (Beatriz Viterbo Editora, 2023) examines artists and writers who push at the limits of form and genre, and even subvert the boundaries between the verbal and the visual. As a curator, Malbrán has organized exhibitions all over the world, and she has held curatorial positions at the MALBA – Museo de Arte Latinoamericano and the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires, and the Pinacoteca do Estado in São Paulo. Malbrán has facilitated and taken part in talks organized by Salta art in Munich, including Experience / Experiment, hosted by Salta art at arteba in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a conversation with artist-in-residence Mercedes Azpilicueta in 2025.
