Frauke Zabel is a visual artist based in Munich. Her practice is often engaged in various collective contexts, and many of her research-based works have developed out of different archived and non-archived materials or the archives themselves. Her interest lies in the transfer and translation between languages, generations, media, times, and places in the light of a possible deconstruction of hegemonic readings of history(ies). In 2022, Zabel was in conversation with curator Amanda Carneiro as part of the Various Others Social Club series, supported by Salta art.
