Frauke Zabel is a visual artist. In her practice, artistic research, processes of media transfer, mediation and public appearance go hand in hand. She aligns her media-open and often collaborative way of working with the occasion of becoming public. The research-based approach develops into a practice that addresses her own perspective as well as the researched content in a social, political and ecological reality. With an interest in the non-archived, knowledge systems related to archived materials often serve as the starting point for this examination. In 2022, Zabel was in conversation with curator Amanda Carneiro as part of the Various Others Social Club series, supported by Salta art.
