Más Arte Más Acción (MAMA) is a non-profit cultural foundation, founded in 2009, which generates critical thinking through art. The foundation’s base on Colombia’s Pacific Coast is the source of inspiration for artists and others who are invited to explore wide-ranging social and environmental issues. MAMA is embedded in a network of ecosystems including communities, collectives, organizations, and nature. Throughout its trajectory, MAMA has offered an artistic residency programme based on the notion of a “Space to Reflect.” In 2022, Salta art partnered with Kunstverein München to invite Más Arte Más Acción to speak about this guiding concept and how it informs their international residencies and exchanges.
