Amanda Carneiro

Amanda Carneiro is a curator at Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP), co-editor of Afterall Journal and artistic organizer of the 60th Venice Biennale. Her work explores decolonization and African diaspora art, drawing from research with Museu Afro Brasil and the “Art and Decolonization” project, with notable exhibitions on Carmézia Emiliano and Abdias Nascimento. Carneiro was selected by the Salta art jury to participate in the curatorial residency at the City of Munich’s Villa Waldberta in September 2022 and presented a curatorial talk, organized by Salta art, at the Kunstverein München in April 2024. She is a member of the Salta art jury from 2025-27.
