Mariairis Flores Leiva is an independent researcher, critic, and curator based in Santiago, Chile. She is currently a PhD student in Arts and Humanities at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH). She is co-founder of Espacio218, a gallery established with Seba Calfuqueo. Flores Leiva has written for Artforum and Artishock, and is the author of Bajo el signo mujer: exposiciones de artistas chilenas 1973–1991 (2024). She co-edited Mujeres en las artes visuales en Chile 2010–2020 (2021), with Varinia Brodsky Zimmermann. In 2024, she was selected by the Salta Art jury to participate in the AIR-M Ebenböckhaus residency in Munich from October to December.
