Sarah Johanna Theurer is a curator and writer specializing in time-based art and techno-social entanglements. At Haus der Kunst, Munich, she realized ground-breaking exhibitions that stretched the exhibition format into new temporal and spatial realities. She actively contributes to discussions on emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI, and sound in the exhibition context. Her curatorial practice emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and challenges deterministic thinking in order to contribute to a transnational transformation in the contemporary arts landscape. She regularly publishes in catalogs and magazines. In 2024, Theurer traveled to Buenos Aires for a curatorial residency with Salta art and gave a talk entitled Echoes – Curating Beyond the Exhibition in the art department of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. In 2026, Theurer contributed to Salta art’s Encounters, Vol III, together with artist Tomás Saraceno.
