Sarah Theurer travels to Buenos Aires for a curatorial residency with Salta art. Nominated for the residency by Haus der Kunst artistic director Andrea Lissoni, Theurer will use this opportunity to pursue her research interests in diverse approaches to the relationship between technology and nature and how such modes of interface shape our understanding of reality. In addition to the research on site, Salta art will organize and facilitate visits to various archives, institutions and artists’ studios, as well as a public talk.

Sarah Theurer (Berlin, 1988) is a curator and editor specializing in time-based art practices and techno-social entanglements. Since joining Haus der Kunst, Munich in 2020, she has spearheaded ground-breaking exhibitions and actively contributes to discussions on emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI, and sound in the exhibition context. Her curatorial practice emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and challenges deterministic thinking in order to contribute to a transnational transformation in the contemporary arts landscape. She regularly publishes in catalogues and magazines.
