AIR-M Ebenböckhaus

ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE MUNICH Ebenböckhaus and Salta art, in partnership with ERA Foundation, invite contemporary visual artists from South America to apply for a residency at Ebenböckhaus in Munich.
The residency program is designed to accommodate different artistic approaches. It offers time and resources for research, experimentation, and focused studio work, as well as opportunities to engage with Munich’s art scene. Activities such as talks, workshops, and an open studio may be organized in response to the residents’ interests.
The residency provides the opportunity to engage with Munich’s cultural scene while living and working at Ebenböckhaus in the district of Munich-Pasing. Residents are accommodated in a shared, rent-free apartment with individual rooms and access to several work and presentation spaces within the house.
Residents receive a monthly stipend and rent-free accommodation at Ebenböckhaus, supported by the City of Munich Department of Arts and Culture.
Salta art and ERA Foundation cover the return flights from South America to Munich and provide a research-trip allowance. Access to a shared studio at Empfangshalle in the Museumsquartier is also provided by Salta art and ERA Foundation
Residents additionally benefit from a MakerPlus membership at MakerSpace Munich— offered as a grant by MakerSpace — providing full access to workshop facilities (Hand Tools, Metal, Wood, IoT, Electronics, Lasercut, Additive Manufacturing, Textile).
Since 2022, the ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE MUNICH Ebenböckhaus Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich has collaborated with Salta art to expand the residency program to the region of South America. For this year’s edition, Salta art is pleased to welcome ERA Foundation as a partner, whose support enables the program to offer a second residency position.
